Discover the art of needle felting and learn to "paint" with wool with instructor Jeanne Weymouth! This class will introduce you to the basics, including how to choose the right wool roving, tools used for felting, techniques required for dry felting, applications of felting and more.
Using a wool sheet, students will create a wool “painting” - a picture of their own design/dream. We’ll finish off the piece by framing using one of several options.
As a fun bonus, you'll also make a wool laundry ball. This is a great chance to practice new skills and incorporate unique felting "tricks" to add relief and interest. Join us to start your needle felting journey and bring your artistic visions to life in wool!
We're excited to partner with Ruby Coffee to bring you this class.

Instructor Biography:
I love fiber, texture, color, exploring new textile art techniques and teaching eager, creative students. With a degree in textiles and design, I have experimented with and taught quite a variety of fiber art techniques/skills over the years. Creative Stitching; Contemporary Piecing; Weaving; Coil Weaving; Dry Felting, Wet Felting; Easy Batik; and other surface embellishment and fiber manipulation are among the classes I have taught. I like to bring curiosity, encouragement, playful energy, fun acceptance and an atmosphere of positivity to each class I teach. I think that working with fibers is so exciting and I love sharing that excitement with every student.
